District Update: Saturday, April 17

Good afternoon Madison Elementary Families,

By now you are in receipt of the communication from Mr. Steinmetz indicating that the elementary school is transitioning to a virtual platform from Monday, April 19 through Wednesday, April 28.

This communication is to provide some additional details for families to prepare to begin learning virtually.

Device pick up for all students will take place on Monday, April 19 from noon-6pm in the Elementary gym. Learning materials will be separated by TEACHER NAME, so please have that information when you arrive.

Information regarding virtual learning will be included in the learning material pick up, and will include grade-level meeting times, which will begin on Tuesday, April 20.

The fundraiser pick up originally scheduled Tuesday has been postponed. Once a new delivery date has been determined, it will be communicated to families. In addition, Smiles on Wheels, originally scheduled for Monday-Wednesday has also been postponed. As soon as we are able to secure new dates with the company, we will make another announcement.

The district is making arrangements for food pick up for our elementary families. Mr. Steinmetz will communicate pick up days and times once they are determined through food services.

Again, our elementary students will return to in person instruction on Thursday, April 29.

Any additional questions you may have can be directed to the school Monday morning. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we navigate this very unusual circumstance!
