Virtual Student Material Update

Good Afternoon, Madison Families!

This summer, the Madison School District has added nearly 700 devices in an effort to become 1-1 with our students and technology. As you can imagine, numerous districts across the country have been doing the same. This has caused a shortage of devices nation-wide. We were hopeful that we would receive our last scheduled shipment of devices last Friday. Unfortunately, that did not happen. We received half of two separate shipments. As a result, we are still waiting on the delivery of 200 laptops which will make us completely 1-1. We anticipate this shipment to arrive within a week or two.

Currently, we have a device ready to be picked up in the MS/HS cafeteria and the elementary cafe for every one of our students that has chosen the virtual option (approximately 350). We are asking that if you have a device at home that your student(s) could complete the first week or two of virtual course work that you delay the pick up of a district provided device until our final shipment arrives. Once that shipment arrives, our technology department would be in contact with each family to arrange a district provided device to be picked up.

If you do have a device that your student could utilize please fill out the survey below:

If you do not have a device and need the district provided device, you do NOT have to complete this survey.

Thank you and Go Trojans!
