MADISON TWP., ADRIAN, MI – Tuesday morning Madison School District received notification that it is recognized as a 2018 Academic State Champion by Bridge Magazine. Based on a study conducted by Stanford University, Madison is named one of only 30 schools in the state of Michigan to receive Academic State Champion honors.

Each year Bridge recognizes high performing schools. This year’s report showcased the progress students made from third to eighth grade. In five years, between the end of third grade and the end of eighth grade, Madison students can expect to, on average, achieve growth of 6.1 grade levels. The 6.1 grade level rise in just five years is tied for the second-best growth in the state among all public schools. More information regarding the study can be found at

“The district’s Mission drives what we strive to accomplish each and every day. Each member of the faculty and staff works with students to develop individual excellence through rigor, innovation, and personal attention. We recognize that each minute we spend with students is valuable, there is no time to waste.” ~ Dr. Ryan Rowe, Madison School District Superintendent.
