PPG Industries, a leading global supplier of high performance coatings, adhesives and sealants, is implementing a temporary to permanent employment strategy at our Adrian, Michigan, facility.  PPG Adrian is significantly expanding its production capacity due to increased demand for products.  PPG is looking for dedicated employees who are willing to learn as a temporary contract worker with the opportunity to be hired as a PPG employee after 6 months.  Candidates must be willing to work any shift.  Prior manufacturing experience, and/or forklift experience is preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.  The temporary positions start at $15.00/hr. 

It is likely that there will be an opportunity to be hired as a PPG employee as long as there are current openings and job performance as a temporary employee has been excellent.  Once hired into a permanent PPG position there is growth potential to over $21 per hour with our wage progression schedule based on promotions.  In addition, PPG also has an annual merit increase process where these positions have seen an average of 2% annual increases over the past 5 years.
