Hello AP Students and Parents,
College Board has released information about the administration of this year’s AP Exams. We recognize that during these unprecedented times that students may be anxious about being ready for and taking these exams. All of the AP teachers at Madison have been attempting to keep in contact with their students and will work to put them in the best position possible to be exposed to all of the content that will be covered in each exam. In addition, College Board is providing exam review and has also reassured us that students will have access to the online testing platform well in advance of the AP exams to ensure that they can access and are comfortable with it. Students will be able to take exams on any device they have access to—computer, tablet, or smartphone. They will be able to either type and upload their responses or write responses by hand and submit a photo via their cell phone. All exams will be 45 minutes long and can be taken at a student’s home. Specific content, timing, and weighting for each exam will be communicated to students from their respective AP teacher.
The new exam schedule for this year’s AP Exams is as follows:
Tuesday, May 12th (2:00pm): AP Calculus
Wednesday, May 13th (2:00pm) AP Literature and Composition
Friday, May 15th (2:00pm) AP United States History
Monday, May 18th (2:00pm) AP Biology
Wednesday, May 20th (2:00pm) AP Language and Composition
Thursday, May 21st (2:00pm) AP World History
In the next week, we will be sending out a survey to help us identify what students will still be taking their respective AP Exams and if they will need help with device and internet access. We will also be giving students the option to opt out of taking this year’s exams as well. In the meantime, students should continue to check their school email accounts on a regular basis to get important information from their AP teachers. If you have any questions, please contact us.
