  • Madison Elementary and Madison Middle School – Named Academic State Champion by Bridge Magazine

2016-17

  • Madison High School – Recognized as a 2017 Bronze Award winner by US News & World Reports
  • Madison High School – Earned a grade of “B” on the Michigan Context and Performance Report Card (CAP) in 2017
  • Madison Middle School – Earned a grade of “A” on the Michigan Context and Performance Report Card (CAP) in 2017
  • Madison Elementary School – Earned a grade of “B” on the Michigan Context and Performance Report Card (CAP) in 2017

2015-16

  • Madison High School – Recognized as a 2016 Silver Award winner by US News & World Reports.
  • Madison Middle School was the only school in Lenawee County to earn the “Reward School” designation by the Michigan Department of Education. A total of 219 schools in Michigan met the Reward School criteria for the 2015-16 school year.
  • Madison Middle School – Earned “Reward School” designation for the 2015-16 school year by the Michigan Department of Education.

2014-15

  • Madison High School – Recognized as a 2015 Bronze Award winner by US News & World Reports.
  • School Ranking was not calculated by the Michigan Department of Education in 2014-15.

2013-14

  • Madison High School – Recognized as a 2014 Bronze Award winner by US News & World Reports.
  • Madison Elementary and Madison Middle School – Earned “Reward School” designation for the 2012-13 school year by the Michigan Department of Education. 

2012-13

  • In 2013 Madison earned the prestigious AdvancEd district wide accreditation recognizing our student achievement and rigorous academic standards, as well as our educational programming and processes.
  • For the second year in a row, Bridge Magazine named Madison School District the 18th in the state, placing it among the top school districts across Michigan, June 2013 district-wide accreditation by AdvancED, the most recognized and prestigious school accreditation organization in the world
  • Madison High School – Recognized as a 2013 Silver Award winner by US News & World Reports.
  • Madison Middle School – Recognized as a 2012-13 National Title I Distinguished School.
  • Madison Elementary and Madison Middle School – Earned “Reward School” designation for the 2012-13 school year by the Michigan Department of Education.

Superintendent Interview Update

Madison Family,

Last night the Madison Board of Education completed the first round of interviews for the position of District Superintendent. At the conclusion of the interviews, the Board of Education voted to extend a 2nd round interview to three candidates. The candidates invited for a 2nd interview are Mr. Jacob Anastasoff from Tecumseh Public Schools, Mr. Nick Steinmetz from Manchester Community Schools, and Mr. James Baker from the Lakeview School District. The 2nd round of interviews will be held the week of November 18th, 2019.  The date(s) and times will be communicated once they are finalized with the candidates.
